SCHOOL DIARY DATES

Gilgandra High School

The school was opened on this site in 1965. It has outstanding physical resources set on 6 hectares of landscaped grounds.

We are very proud of our school. While the buildings are important to us because they make an excellent environment in which to work, the most important part of our school is the people. Without people who want to learn, the school would have no purpose.

Our goal is for all students and teachers to be effective learners.
This means that we must all be treated as individuals with special needs and wants. As teachers our role is to focus on you as an individual and as part of a group.
Your role in the school is to learn. You have a duty to your family, to the community and to yourself to improve so that you can make a worthwhile contribution to our society. The school's motto is 'Nil Sine Labore', which in Latin means 'Nothing Without Effort'.

You will get out of Gilgandra High School what you put into it. Gilgandra High School prides itself on providing high quality educational opportunities for all its students.

We hope that you can make a contribution to the well being of other students, to your own self-improvement and to the community at large.

Again, welcome to Gilgandra High School, we wish you well and hope that your stay is a worthwhile one for you and for us.
